Textiles
After her mother died in 2004 and Liz & Zoff had Franco, Liz went back to college producing a body of work around family, ephemera. Her mother was the first woman to ride solo across Italy on a Piaggio in 1948, her aunt hung out with Quentin Crisp & the Bloomsbury set.
Ceramics
2019 : Liz did a ceramics course at Queens Road in Bristol. It was a time for contemplation & more playing around with drawings from family sketch books dating back to 1837 and motifs using the the family history, photos, artifacts and visuals to a creative end.
Upholstery
2006 : Liz did a part time Upholstery course & began covering pieces of family furniture with applique pieces. Most significant was a small chair embroidered for Franco based on a family trip to Italy in 2007 to try & find her father Franco senior’s grave.
